Cookies & analytics
Consent
Where required (e.g., EU/UK), we ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies (analytics/marketing). You can change or withdraw consent anytime via the cookie banner/settings.
Essential cookies
WooCommerce sets necessary cookies so cart and checkout work. Typical examples include:
woocommerce_cart_hash(session) – knows when cart contents changewoocommerce_items_in_cart(session) – tracks items in cartwp_woocommerce_session_(≈2 days) – links your cart to your sessionwoocommerce_recently_viewed(session) – powers “recently viewed”
Analytics cookies (consent where required)
Google Analytics 4 may set first-party cookies such as:
_ga(up to 2 years) – distinguishes users_ga_[container-id](up to 2 years) – keeps session state
If you decline analytics in the cookie banner, we do not enable analytics storage.
You can also block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect cart/checkout.
Interest-based advertising
If we run personalized ads, we may use cookies or similar tech from our ad partners to show you Cornique ads on other sites based on your activity here. You can adjust consent in the cookie banner and use your ad settings with those providers.
If we’re not running personalized ads, this section simply doesn’t apply.
International transfers
Because we ship worldwide and use global vendors, your data may be processed in other countries. We rely on provider safeguards and contractual protections for these transfers.
How long we keep data
- Orders & invoices: kept for tax, accounting, and legal obligations (typically 7–10 years, depending on jurisdiction).
- Support/claim uploads: kept as long as needed to resolve your issue and comply with our obligations.
- GA4 analytics: retained according to our GA4 data-retention setting; data is automatically deleted after that period.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, or port your data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, please reach us via our Contact page. You also have the right to contact your local data-protection authority.
California privacy rights (CPRA)
California residents can request to know, delete, and correct certain personal information, and may opt out of “selling” or “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don’t sell personal information for money. If we use analytics/ads that qualify as “sharing,” you can opt out via the cookie banner or by contacting us via our Contact page. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You may authorize an agent to act on your behalf.
EEA/UK lawful bases (GDPR)
For visitors in the EEA/UK, we rely on contract, consent, legal obligation, and legitimate interests (e.g., security, analytics with safeguards) as described above.
Automated decision-making
We don’t make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects using solely automated processing. Our payment providers may use automated fraud screening; we receive a pass/fail or risk signal to complete your order.
Children
Our site isn’t intended for children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children. If you’re under the age of digital consent in your country, you must have your parent/guardian’s permission to use the site and any optional features (like marketing emails). If we learn we’ve collected data from a child without the required permission, we’ll delete it.
Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
Browsers may send Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Standards are evolving, but we honor your choices set in our cookie banner and any region-specific consent tools. If your settings block non-essential cookies, analytics/ads won’t load.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page when our practices change. The “last updated” date shows the latest version.
